WOYWW - I am currently unsupervised...

Hi everyone and welcome to my desk this week.

Despite being away for most of last week at LLangrannog outward bound centre right by the sea with the children (skiing, quad bikes, horse riding, trampolining, swimming, walking and EATING!) OOhhh the food....   and attending a friend's wedding, I have managed to do a surprising amount of playing at my desk.

The scrapbook LO is of my neice's 3 children at a family BBQ in the summer. Nearly finished except a title. Doesn't the summer seem so far away now! There are leaves on the lawn,  Mr Robin has come back and is singing his heart out in the treetops and I have 3 tubs of blackberries in the freezer!

Back left you can see my altered work diary. Do you know I have been gripped with the strangest of feelings lately, namely wanting to just be myself  (the real me) and not the person everyone expects me to be and is used to seeing. Hence the beginnings of a rebellion on the cover of my diary.

HOW BORING IS THAT?

Starting with Dylusions inks, lemon zest, melted chocolate, fresh lime and pure sunshine, I sprayed a piece of paper and used some odd Tattered floral flowers as stencils I had lying around to create a background.

The gorgeous girl stamp is from Stampotique, stamped, enlarged and coloured in with Pro markers. (I also added some legs!) I cut up a pretty black cup cake holder to use as corners and used various other stamps in my stash.

It looked a bit flat and so I used some white paint to highlight the leaves. (I couldn't get my white gel pen to work! ) I then added the sentiment and covered the whole thing with glossy accents to protect it. This is the finished page... complete with ribbons.

REBELLION to be continued........

When I blotted the inks with my kitchen roll, I was left with a very pretty piece... Any ideas what I can do with it, it's too nice to throw away?

I also made a quick wedding card with a topper I had from Lili of the valley..

Well.... that's all from me this week. I am looking forward to visiting as many of your desks as I can.
Have a happy week

Lynda X

  1. Lynda,

That is one really awesome journal page, I love everything you have done. I never can get my white gel pens to work either, I have recently purchased a white paint pen, not used it yet but will soon.

    Happy WOYWW

I applaud your rebellion...I think I'm in that frame of mind too. Life is too short to not be yourself.
