I have a few projects on the go since you heard from me last so what to share?? Hummm!
Well I have had two work spaces.. The first is my usual desk upstairs in my craft room..
Some new Tim Holtz flower garden stamps, some backgrounds ready for stamping with the flowers and a little canvas I made.
Myself, Ali and 2 other friends are going up to London in a few weeks to the Royal Academy to see the 'Painting the Modern Garden' exhibition. Great works of Art from Monet, Matisse, Renoir, Cezanne, Van Gogh and Pissarro but to name a few, all inspired by their gardens and flowers! I am so excited that I got to thinking….
And although this little canvas won't sell for millions.. well, I like it! I LUVVV these stamps!
My second work space has been my living room floor.. Someone was throwing away lots of pairs of cut off jeans until me like a mad woman pulled them out of the bin, much to the amusement of my colleagues! Well, I spent a few hours trawling through pintrest for ideas and I will share with you next week what this little ol' pile of cut offs became!
Well… that's all from me this week.
I'm looking forward to visiting as many of your desks as I can. I haven't been very good at that lately so thank you to all of you who have left kind comments and perhaps haven't recieved a visit from me in return. Will try to do better!
Have a happy week

ReplyDeleteA pretty flower canvas Lynda. You just never know with art what will really be worth millions in later life. So never say never because you never know Lol.

Your desk is still fairly tidy; how nice (sigh!)
ReplyDeleteThe canvas is beautiful and loved reading what triggered the words.
Can't wait to see what you do with the denim.

I love your canvas Lynda, oddly I find flowers hard to work with but this is so pretty. I look forward to seeing what you do with all the old denim, I have a load of jeans that could be put to good use too - I will have a little peek through pinterest too I think. Thank you for sharing, Happy WOYWW - Lyns #17 xx
ReplyDeleteGood for you for rescuing all those jeans! They're begging to be turned into a project....I've seen some fab bags and raggedy quilts on Pinterest. Have fun with it all. And that flower stamp is fab..enjoy the exhibition :-)

ReplyDeleteHi Lynda, love your journal page, and those stamps look interesting! The exhibition sounds like fun. We are planning a long weekend down in London later in the year to go to the British Museum- have to wait till I can be on my feet for longer, and making sure the kids are at school! Lovely card, might steal that quote! LOL at the cut offs. Did you really take them out of the bin? Can't wait to see what you do with them! Happy Wednesday! zsuzsa #41
ReplyDeleteHad to laugh at your jeans......I have a pile of shirts my younger son was going to throw out - most unworn/barely worn and they have been cut up into big pieces waiting to be converted into a patchwork quilt or two!

ReplyDeleteI love your canvas too and I so envy you going to the Royal Academy to see the works of such awesome artists! Your work space is so neat! Looking forward to see what you turn your "dream jeans" into. :)
ReplyDeleteI gravitate towards floral stamps. Would be lost without them, for sure. The canvas is lovely...where indeed?!
ReplyDeleteThose flower stamps are really lovely and you've put them to very good use. Thank you for your kind comment on my little Easter baskets. I didn't use a die. It started life as a 5x4" rectangle of card that I scored, cut and folded to make the basket shape.
ReplyDeleteFab stamps! Must sneak a stamping from them! Looking forward to seeing you Saturday Ali xx
ReplyDeleteI so love those flower stamps, gorgeous and love the sentiment too. Thanks for the visit to mine , have a great woyww and happy crafting, Angela x 22
