WOYWW- Gelli Plate backgrounds

Hello Everyone and welcome,

This week I decided to dust off my Gelli Plate and try to make some backgrounds for some birthday cards. I watched Barbara Gray's demo over at the Clarity website first as I hadn't used it in a while. Barbara always has some wonderful videos to watch for inspiration and techniques. Thank you lovely lady!
Well… these are what I ended up with……..

I used Fresco paints and a pretty stencil by Inkadoo.

The cards….

On this one I coloured in the flowers with Pro markers.

And a birthday card for Hubby…. also with a Gelli plate background.. trying to evoke impressions of the sea!

Well… that's my lot for this week. We are off to Scotland next week so I will hopefully have some gorgeous photos to share with you if the rain stops. I have bought a new coat and fleece (yep… to go on holiday… only in Britain!)

Have a happy week

Lynda B X

  8. Hi Lynda, lolled at the coat & fleece for holidays! As you say, only in Britain. I'm with you and Tesco! There is only two of us to, and I sometimes think we should just have our wages paid straight to Tesco, lol. Gorgeous backgrounds, and yes, Barbara does excellent videos. It helps that she has such a nice voice to listen to I think. I've been downloading loads of You Tube craft videos to watch, and some voices have me hitting the mute button in seconds. Have a great week, Hugs, Shaz #4 xx
